Today, Vapor Ministries opened the doors of our newest Vapor Thrift Store in the Trussville area of Birmingham, Alabama, to a crowd ready to create global impact right from their hometown. Over one thousand people shopped on opening day, and every purchase helped extend the reach of this ministry around the world.
The 15,000-square-foot store is our first built-to-suit location and our seventh Kingdom-building business.
Our thrift stores give our community members the privilege to know that their local dollars and donations are having a global–and eternal–impact.
Combined with the generosity of our partner churches, these businesses help make it possible for 100% of your donations to go directly toward providing hundreds of thousands of people with clean water, nutritious meals, critical health services, and the hope of Christ.
Together, with our shoppers, donors, and supporters, we are taking new ground at a new pace toward our 11.5.31 vision of 11 new outreach centers and 5 new thrift stores by November 2031. That's what makes the doors we opened today so meaningful.
Every shopper who walks through the doors of this new store helps open doors for people thousands of miles away.
Doors for children to play the sport they love and encounter the One who loves them.
Doors for young men and women to learn trades that can help break generational cycles of poverty.
Doors for mothers and fathers to collect fresh, clean water that helps keep their families healthy.
Doors for our team members to faithfully serve their communities and share the hope of Jesus.
By 2031, we trust the Lord to help us open two more Vapor Thrift Stores. Together with 16 total outreach centers across East Africa, West Africa, and Haiti, these stores will help fuel ministry reaching millions of lives each year.
Each new store and each new center means more people served, more communities reached, and more precious souls experiencing the love of Christ through you.
