"Til his last breath, he truly lived.

A Kansas boy in a southern CA town. For 60 years, he walked the road of service and pointed sojourners to hope's path. In a segregated town, he led a school and church to cross divides bringing all to the gospel's table.

A dedicated Pastor. Loving Husband. Protective Father. Faithful Grandpa. A Jesus Man.

He pursued his loving wife and three girls. He followed His Lord. He didn’t mince words and you could take his to the bank. When he faltered, he quickly got up.

In fitting fashion, our last conversation rested on God’s presence in service. He was my final living grandparent and I his namesake. Today I bow to a generation now gone and forever look up to The Last Legend.

RIP Pastor John Lyle."

Note: John Lyle on memo line

"A brilliant man, in college years Dad was offered a career opportunity that would have provided economic fortune.  At this crossroads in his life, he chose to answer the call of God to ministry, the call to eternal fortune that would be unparalleled to earthly fortune.

Many came to Christ through his passionate preaching and teaching of the word of God.  Many lives were changed for eternity.  Many were loved, mentored, counseled, and even entered ministry themselves.  Everyone knew him as someone that would speak the truth clearly to you. His passion was to live for Christ with every breath that he had and he was always expressing how grateful he was for God’s blessings, even when he had pain or loss. He was truly a faithful servant of God and has entered into the great joy of His Lord!

We are honored to have his legacy and impact of his life continue through this project!

In lieu of flowers, he would be honored by any gift to this fund to further the spread of the gospel."
