"So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18

For the first time in years, Haiti captured the world's attention with positive news when its national soccer team, The Grenadiers, qualified for the FIFA World Cup after a five-decade drought.

Against all odds, including the destruction of Haiti's national soccer training facilities in 2024, the team's presence at the World Cup united the nation around a hope not seen in years. The excitement surrounding this landmark achievement cannot be overstated. Haitians were seen holding their national flag and dancing in the streets in celebration.

This "miracle season" ushered in a renewed sense of pride not experienced in years for a country that had weathered years of hardship and instability. For a moment, an entire nation remembered what hope feels like.

The Grenadiers may not have performed as expected in the tournament, but their effort has ignited discussions on reconciliation, democracy, and a new chapter for the country.

Hope has a way of spreading. Sometimes it begins on a soccer field. Other times it begins with a cup of clean water, a nutritious meal, or someone hearing the Gospel for the very first time.

The ripple effects of this growing stability radiate far beyond the soccer pitch. The border between Haiti and the Dominican Republic has reopened, enabling the influx of much-needed building supplies, medicine, and other essential goods.

A Hopeful Harvest

Throughout the chaos and into this new season of optimism, you have remained steadfast in prayer and generosity. Long before headlines began to change, you chose to invest in the people of Haiti. God has been faithfully multiplying that investment every single day.

Because of you, tens of thousands of people living in and around the Dilaire, Ferrier, and Ouanaminthe communities have continued to receive the critical resources they so desperately need.

Thanks to you, so far this year in Haiti:

  • More than 31 million cups of free, clean water have been provided.

  • More than 674,000 nutritious meals have been served.

  • More than 52,000 critical health services have been delivered.

  • More than 90,000 Gospel impressions have been made.

Behind every number is a person created in God's image. A child who drank clean water. A mother who received medical care. A family who heard the hope of Jesus Christ.

Continue in Prayer

As we give thanks for the increasing stability that has enabled Haiti's national team to reach half-century highs, we fix our eyes on the unseen: the steady growth of God's Kingdom. His work continues regardless of political unrest or whether the world's attention is focused on Haiti.

The story of Haiti is still being written, and we believe its greatest chapters are still ahead because God is faithful.

Please continue to pray for:

  • The people of Haiti that they may find strength, dignity, and hope.

  • Haiti's leaders that wisdom, integrity, and courage would guide their decisions as they prepare for credible and democratic elections this year.

  • Institutions and communities that they would be rebuilt on foundations of justice, peace, and opportunity.

  • The Church in Haiti that it would continue to be a beacon of hope, pointing people to Christ in every season.

Let us stand together in faith, believing that God's purposes for this nation are greater than its present struggles.

Thank you for your continued generosity, love, and prayers. Your partnership is helping write a different story for Haiti, one marked not only by resilience, but by hope, healing, and the transforming power of Jesus Christ. We believe the best is still to come.
