Sisal bags are mostly made by the Kamba tribe located in Eastern Kenya. Kamba land as it is known is often plagued by dry weather and sisal is one of the few crops that survives well in that region. Every single handmade bag is transported to the Vapor Center in Gichagi Kenya where artisans working with leather attach additional components to make this beautiful product. The Gichagi slum is located outside the community of Ngong, Kenya and is home to over 10,000 people, many of which live in extreme poverty. Through your purchase of the Furaha Sisal bag, you are helping Vapor Ministries meet needs, feed souls and elevate God in some of the poorest places on earth.
Every artisan-made product is unique and will have slight variation.
